The Otsego County Commissioners in 2025 approved that a smaller home is allowed to be built! The minimum square feet for a home went from 720 SF to 560 SF. This allows for more building flexibility as well as a lower building cost. The average cost for a new build is $300 per Square Foot.
Woda Construction Inc. signed a purchase agreement 2 years ago for an 18.73 acre parcel off of Jensen Street that the City of Gaylord owns. They were going to build 100+ homes there that would be for sale.
